- On arrival intending purchasers are registered directly online and receive a buyer number and a booklet of Bid cards if you wish to make manual bids.
- All rams are displayed for your inspection, with relevant information, online one week prior to the sale.
- Online bids can be made one week prior with formal Bidding opening from 1.30pm on the day of the sale.
- When the sale commences all rams are on the market simultaneously. You may bid on any ram, regardless of lot number - either by filling in a card and handing it to a ‘runner’ or bidding directly online.
- You may open bidding on any ram at any figure above the reserve price.
- You can also set an Auto-Bid figure for each ram. An Auto-Bid is the maximum bid you are wishing to pay. Your bid will just automatically increase if someone bids under you until it reaches your Auto-Bid limit. You are still able to increase your
Auto-Bid limit if you are out bid. - Bids are recorded, with the Buyer’s number, on the sale website and on the screen at the sale. You can bid on any number of rams at once and see at a glance whether your bid still stands or has been over-bid.
- There is no pressure to commit yourself to another bid, and if your ‘first choice’ ram goes beyond your limit, you can still bid on any other ram in the sale.
- A time limit will be imposed from a set time indicated on the screen. If a bid on any animal is made following this time the whole sale will auto extend. The sale ends when no further bids are made on any lot during the final count-down period.
- In case of dispute the Helmsman will have final say.
Please Note: A bid once submitted and recorded cannot be retracted, and the person submitting such bid will be responsible for it until it is overbid.
